The Nàdurra range uses traditional 19th-century production methods to create inventive and original whiskies. This version is matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry oak casks from the Spanish region of Jerez. This whisky is all about using traditions to achieve modern brilliance.

Our latest expression in the Nàdurra family boldly draws its inspiration from The Glenlivet's historic whisky-making traditions in which peat smoke was used to dry the malted barley, lending a smoky flavour to the whisky.

Representing The Glenlivet's signature style, The Glenlivet 12 Year Old single malt is first matured in traditional oak, before spending time in American oak casks that impart notes of vanilla and gives the whisky its distinctive smoothness. The mineral-rich water that comes from Josie's Well helps form the flavours during mashing and fermentation, whilst the specific height and width of the copper stills add a delicate yet complex character. It is said that a ship carrying one of the largest quantities of black spiced rum ever to be brought over from the Caribbean Islands, for unexplained reasons, never reached its destination. Stories were plentiful, and while an attack by the Kraken is suspected, no stories were ever confirmed.
