TWR are passionate about aromatic varieties and particularly those from Alsace so it was only a matter of time until they took on the challenge of Pinot Gris. When they first bought their property they replanted a section of the old block with the Berry-Smith clone (also known as Larkham clone) of Pinot Gris. TWR selected this particular clone especially for its low cropping, small bunches and small berries as they felt it would deliver the best quality fruit.

This hand-harvested Central Otago Pinot Gris is made in a mildly sweet style, with inviting aromas which turn into flavours of nashi pear, fresh citrus and subtle ginger notes. This Pinot Gris is vibrant and lively, with a refreshing finish and ready to be enjoyed with a variety of occasions and cuisine. Ideal pairing with fresh seafood, Asian cuisine, vegetarian dishes and mild creamy cheeses. Only available at Super Liquor.

The Last Shepherd Chardonnay has fruit driven flavours, toasty French oak, buttery notes, and a deliciously good story. A full bodied, rich style of Chardonnay which is classic of the Gisborne region. This wine displays fruit driven aromas of apricot and melon, a textural palate balanced with buttery notes, and rounded off with toasty oak characteristics.

The palate is layered with flavours of juicy ripe lemon and lime, sweet fresh pineapple and crunchy green apple. This seamless wine has outstanding fruit concentration and a zesty underlying minerality that leads to a pure, lively and focused dry finish.
